In order to streamline the internal procedure for procurement of quick information under Delhi Right to Information Act, 2001, all the Officers of the Corporation are hereby directed to adhere to the following guidelines:-

1. The information pertaining to respective Section/Unit shall be made available by the Incharges concerned within 7days of the receipt of same from the Competent Authority.

2. Whoever being bound to supply information under the Act fails to furnish the information asked for within the time specified or fails to communicate, shall be liable to pay a penalty.

3. Similarly, where the information supplied is found to be false in any particular material, the person bound to supply it knows or has reasonable cause to believe it to be false or does not believe it to be true, the person supplying the information shall be liable to pay a penalty.

4. While preparing the information for onward submission to the Competent Authority, it must be ensured that minimum channels are used so as to avoid delay.

5. The provisions of Delhi Right to Information Act, 2001 must be followed in letter and spirit and, therefore, any lapse on any part shall be viewed seriously.
